Something’s amiss.
And has been for a while now.
Terra consults Katerin about it; there’s no one else better to ask.
Soon everything adds up.
Surprise
There’s a certain glee about Terra today, Kuja notices. Perhaps one of the jittering little ones finally overcame some trivial fear that has caused her to swell with pride? Well whatever reason is behind it he certainly isn’t displeased with the results.
“Well now, you’re looking awfully gay this evening, little bird.” “I have something wonderful to tell you. Oh but it’ll have to wait until later… I want us to be alone.” She whispers, eyes gesturing towards four or five giggling eavesdroppers. “What surprise?” one of them chirps. “What are you keeping from us Mama? Is it presents?” Terra shakes her head as the suggestions being pouring out along with accusations of brilliant gifts being denied them.
Once they’ve got going nothing will stop them. It takes an hour longer than usual to wrangle them all into their beds.
Terra hopes her exhaustion won’t defeat her before she’s got what she needs to say off her chest.
