Whilst I ship Palamecia I believe that since Mateus is an Emperor he has concubines to pleasure himself with; Ulty is his queen and his equal (based on the lack of snark and the fact that they are somewhat allied with one another) whilst he has a few pretty pets on the side... I blame animekittysama for converting me to Matja, Sepheror and Matrothja. Though Pixiv and some lulzy quotes ("You think you can dominate me?") also added fuel to the fire. So yeah, in my head Mateus has a respectful relationship with Ulti and uses Seph and Kuja for his carnal desires. (With Seph he bottoms (but remains in control), with Kuja he tops) Also thanks to the fact that he went to great efforts to keep Jecht under his control I am inclined to believe he also hungered for some BEEFCAKE...

Heh, I'm kind of the opposite. I don't mind het but there aren't many ships that have made me go 'Oooh!'. This is partially because I'm a huge canon fangirl so I don't like pairing Cecil, Tifa, Cloud, Laguna, Squall, Zidane, Tidus or Yuna with characters of the opposite sex who aren't their canon lovers. And yet I'm okay with shipping Aerith with Firion... Huh. Kujerra and Palamecia seem to be the only major het ships I get excited about.
