I wanted to start a chronicle about my adventures in Skyrim but I keep forgetting to buy journals. Fortunately, my friend ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
alkonost_storm suggested I use her online LJ account for this. This..."computer" and its inner workings might as well be some lost magic Tamriel forgot because we've nothing of the kind back in Tamriel. The ones who may have had such things were the Dunmer--you would know them as Dwarves--but they're long gone. Fortunately, my friend was kind enough to teach me to type and show how the little sequence of letters and pictures work so I think I should be fine.
On to myself.
My name is Valyria Somnus, and I hail from Cyrodiil, the Imperial Heartland and capital of Tamriel. For various reasons, personal and otherwise, I am currently traveling north, towards Skyrim. I look forward to and eagerly anticipate my time there. Like many travelers, I know how to handle myself on the road: I know a little magic and can boast some fighting skill. I generally prefer to wield maces even though I can wield many types of weapons. I also like to travel light, eschewing even light armor. Some say that it is foolish, and perhaps they are right but it suits me.
In closing, perhaps this is me being too excited but I have a good feeling about this trip. Perhaps it will become a great adventure.
