Sadly that happens for everyone. I distinctly recall having Zidane's 2nd most powerful weapon equipped when I transferred the data but come 012 it went BYE BYE! So now everyone has shoddy equipment in my maxed out game and as for my new Japanese game...well... The fact that Kuja goes into battle essentially nude only slightly bothers me.
