Ifrit
PuPu
Asura
Tiamat
Bahamut
Leviathan
Rubicante
Scarmiglione

Notice a pattern? Most of these summonstones increase BRV, which is always helpful in a fight. I like High BRV 8D And then there's ones like Leviathan and Scarmiglione, which reduce the opponent's BRV which is also VERY useful. Asura's good as well though admittedly there's always a good chance you won't get the effect you want. Still an awesome summon though and it's kinda sad she hasn't seen as many cameos as the other summons. D:

I don't think I've yet to equip a summonstone in 012... Wonder how I'm going to tackle this question then...

Also everyone keeps on mentioning it but I have no clue what they're on about: What the hell is an IAI strike?

Y U NO SUMMON

It's a skill for the Samurai class. It tends to come up when dragoon and warrior are combined in party battles to form Samurai. It also comes up in the Labyrinth as a one-use card. That said I can't recall what it does atm *fails*

AND THE SUMMONS ARE THERE FOR A REASON YOU CAN'T JUST IGNORE THEM/endminirant

Shinryu's an asshole about everything. Why would he make an exception for the summons?

Besides isn't the moogle summonstone the same?

I like to think that when he eats all those memories he gets severe indigestion, especially if he sees any squick. I bet when he was nomming on poor Terra's memories he got some extreme DO NOT WANT! vibes once Kefka showed up in them.

I'm not sure... All I remember Terra adores him. But what did your moogle say to you when you received him? I had Kuja as my party leader so his line was “You’re nicer than you look, kupo….I’ll help you in return, kupo…”

LOL SHINRYU WITH A STOMACHACHE

I think it was asking for Terra to let it go and to not ruffle its pompom. Anyway, I meant the moogle summonstone is similar to Shinryu because both are capable of all summonstone effects ingame and you don't know which will pop up when it's summoned.

Ah, right. I'm just trying to work out if the lines the moogle gives to each character is tailored for them or if it's just a blank slate line for all Chaos warriors. Hmm... I'll have to ask on the comm for that.

Shinryu never should've eaten Mr Snooky Pie!

Sorta off topic but...

Am I the only one getting the impression that Laguna's voice goes a bit Southern accent when he goes "Whoo! That was fun!"

EVERYONE gets that feeling with him. A few of his lines are hillbilly-ish but that's the most obvious. That isn't to say that it isn't awesome though. (His japanese voice is a little more on the dorky bum side, he's supposed to be a lot more rough around the edges than his companions)

In terms of social class, yeah. He's made to sound like a military hick in comparison to some of the more sophisticated characters such as Kain, Cecil and WoL. Guys like Squall, Bartz, Zidane, Tidus and Firion sound normal in both versions though. Also with Kuja his voice actually changes between foppy and pontificating to normal when he (a) has a tantrum (b) is his 'true' self as seen in report 01 before the betrayal or during Shade Impulse when he's helped by Zidane. He had a similar schitck in FFIX where he'd switch from long, floral formal speech to short, casual sentences. And he'd use slang. (I'm a bit of a voice acting nerd)

Yeah... Favourite voice will be a very long entry from me... I adore Cecil and Tidus' English voice actors (Yuri Lowenthal and James Arnold Taylor) so I was very happy to hear them ingame. Also I have a thing for Japanese voice actors to the point that I'm buying the Japanese version MOSTLY for audio erotica. Japanese Kuja just...oooh...yes... mmm... *chews napkin* and Sephiroth...ooh and Mateus too! Yes... *purrs* Zidane's japanese voice is especially awesome and it's done by a woman!
